Project Ember is a project of Curiosity and Grit LLC. For the rest of this document term "we," "us" or "our" will relate to the entity Curiosity and Grit LLC, which is a Limited Liability Company registered with the State of California. We can be reached via email at info@projectember.org

We will never share or sell any of the personal information you give to us with anyone else, ever. We are also committed to telling you how we collect your information and what we will use it for.

We use various third party applications to help us with our web hosting (squarespace.com), registration (ultracamp.com) and mailing list (mailchimp.com). We have picked all of our services to make sure we retain full control of how data is collected and how it is used.

When you visit our website, you are using a site hosted on Squarespace.com. You can review their privacy policy here

When you sign up for our mailing list, we use a third party mailing list service called MailChimp to collect your email address and send you updates. You can review their privacy policies here.  We will only use the information you provide us to email you about our programs and newsworthy events.

We utilize a third party registration system called UltraCamp that you will use to sign up for our programs and to submit payment. You can review their privacy and security policies on their website. We only use the information you provide during registration for internal reporting. This ranges from printing sign-in sheets, to identifying alumni, to creating end of year reports so we may better understand the population our programs serve.

If we ever make any data public we will take thorough steps to abstract the information and prevent any private information from being shared. For example, your zip code may be used internally to figure out where our current campers and families live and whether or not we should do more outreach in a certain area. However, if we made a report public it would only say things like "the majority of our families live in or near Oakland, CA". If you have any questions about this, please reach out to info@projectember.org

With respect to cookies: Our server hosts, Squarespace.com, and our registration system, Ultracamp.com, use cookies. You can read about how these companies use cookies in their respective privacy policies linked above.

With respect to phone numbers: We will only use these to contact you about programs for which you have registered (confirmation, payment issues, class cancellation etc) or in the event of a necessary update about your child.

With respect to Ad Servers: We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies. You should never see any ads on our site.

Revisions to This Policy
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice.  Our company reserves the right to revise, amend, or modify this policy, our Terms Of Service agreement, and our other policies and agreements at any time and in any manner, by updating this posting.
